Sheriffs, thank you for swearing an oath to defend our constitutions and protect all the people of your county.

Our elected sheriffs are more than law enforcement officers they are community members with the same stake in protecting peace, safety, and liberty as the people they serve. Chosen by the voters, sheriffs take a personal oath to uphold the Constitution and safeguard the rights of their constituents. This unique responsibility places them in the position to stand between the people and unlawful overreach, regardless of political pressures. Yet, with limited resources and growing challenges, sheriffs often face resistance from those who seek to weaken or misrepresent their authority.

Your American Sheriffs exists to support these leaders and strengthen the bond between sheriffs and their communities. Together with citizens, legislators, and organizations, we work to educate on the true constitutional limits of government, the powers reserved to the people, and the essential role of the sheriff. By promoting truth and unity, we counter misinformation and defend the sheriff’s office as a cornerstone of liberty and justice for all.
